Unicorn Club

This Club was inspired by children's innate fascination with horses. Children are naturally drawn to these majestic creatures, despite their size; horses are naturally drawn to children, despite their size. 

Although the main focus of Rosewood Hunters & Jumpers is competitive riding, Unicorn Club provides a special opportunity for kids to explore the magical world of horses. There is nothing more wondrous than watching children work in harmony with horses and ponies; to do so requires mutual respect, trust and understanding... all of which are fostered through this unique Club. 

This Club has been designed to ensure participants:

• build confidence and improve their safety when working around horses and ponies;
• foster a greater sense of responsibility through learning to feed, groom and ensure their horses overall wellbeing;
• provide opportunities to collaborate and problem-solve with their peers in a positive environment;
• inspire creativity; and,
• to build relationships and improve communications with humans and animals.

We know everyone is keen to ride - and we do offer riding opportunities within the curriculum and programming of the Club - but what we really want this program to offer is the quiet, calm, workman like environment that horses require. There is so much to learn about horses, and that's what we're excited to share with our members.
