Rosewood RIDING CAMPS
Camp Rosewood is the perfect place for horse-loving children and youth to explore their passion without leaving the city! Our facility – located in the beautiful Southlands community – is just minutes from downtown and accessible by public transit, bike or car.
Our equestrian camps accommodate beginner riders from ages 4 through 16. In addition to daily riding lessons, camps cover a variety of horsemanship and stable management topics including:
- Feeding and grooming of horses and ponies
- Learning to identify horse anatomy and different colours of horses
- Caring for and cleaning riding equipment
- Stable, paddock and arena cleaning and safety
- Trail and road-riding etiquette
- Equine injury prevention, and more!
We believe that riding and caring for horses and ponies should be fun - so we include a good dose of games (on and off the horses), arts and crafts and other activities too!
