Rosewood RIDING CAMPS
Saddle up for an unforgettable adventure! Our Kids Horseback Riding Camp is the perfect place for young riders (ages 4–14) to learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Campers will gain hands-on experience with grooming, tacking, and riding—while building confidence, responsibility, and a deep love for horses. Whether your child is a beginner or has some experience, our qualified instructors provide personalized guidance tailored to each rider’s level. Located in the beautiful Southlands community – is just minutes from downtown and accessible by public transit, bike or car.
In addition to daily riding lessons, camps cover a variety of horsemanship and stable management topics including:
- Feeding and grooming of horses and ponies
- Learning to identify horse anatomy and different colours of horses
- Caring for and cleaning riding equipment
- Stable, paddock and arena cleaning and safety
- Trail and road-riding etiquette
- Equine injury prevention, and more!
We believe that riding and caring for horses and ponies should be fun - so we include a good dose of games (on and off the horses), arts and crafts and other activities too!
